Chromium Carbide Hardfacing Welding Overlay Wear Liner 

Overview:

Chromium Carbide Hardfacing Welding Overlay Wear Liner  the chemical composition of the high wear resistance alloy layer contains 4 to 5% carbon and 25 to 30% chromium. 

The volume fraction of Cr7C3 carbide in the metallographic structure reaches more than 50%, and the macro hardness is HRC58 to 63. 

The hardness of chromium carbide is HV1400 ~ 1800, which is higher than the hardness of quartz in sandstone HV800 ~ 1200. 

Since carbides are distributed vertically in the direction of wear, even when compared with casting alloys of the same composition and hardness, the wear resistance is more than doubled.

Chromium Carbide Overlay is typically applied using a welding process, where a layer of chromium carbide is fused to the base material to create a wear-resistant surface.
Due to the cooling rates of dissimilar metals. Our hard facing plate for coal chute liner is manufactured by welding which results in high temperatures. During the cooling, the plate goes through a stress relieving which is a natural process and does not effect the performance of the plate. The stress relief cracks should be between 3/4" - 2" apart. The cracks can be touched up by our chrome carbide welding rod.
