Shenyang HARD manufactures a chromium carbide clad wear pipe. This wear resistant pipe provides excellent service in extreme abrasion and impact maintenance applications. The process provides a Chromium Carbide Overlay metal that is fusion bonded to high quality plate. The bond cannot separate under abrasion or shock. Cladding plate produces natural stress relief cracks. These relief cracks are only limited to the overlay and do not extend to the base plate. These cracks provide a certain amount of extended wear life in abrasion and impact applications by relieving stresses in the plate. The overlay deposit is usually one or two layers. Bead widths vary according to the method of the manufacturing.
